Inventory

Get low-stock alerts with reorder points

Set a floor under the things you must not run out of, and get told before you hit it.

Set a reorder point

On any item under Inventory, then Items, set a reorder point: the level at or below which someone should reorder. Leave it blank for things you do not need to watch, like rental units. It earns its keep on PPE, filters, and consumables, the cheap things whose absence stops a job.

How the alert works

The on-hand total is added up across your real places (stock in transit or written off does not count) and compared to the reorder point. When it drops to that number or below, the item surfaces as low. Nothing is stored as a flag, so the alert is always current with the ledger.

Where you are told

  • A banner on the Inventory home and on On Hand lists everything at or below its reorder point, worst first, with an item that has nothing on hand called out as out of stock.
  • A notification goes to your managers and admins through the same reminder system that handles equipment service. A steady shortage is not repeated, but one that gets worse is raised again.
